Alessandro Maida aka Scarful was born in 1968. He is a designer and artist from Rome. After the degree in Architecture and Design he begin to develop an interest for everything concernes graphic/illustration and lettering. He starts to work as graphic creating the Hateful Graphic Vandals colletive with some writers/artists of the roman scene in 1995. In this period we have the first productions under the name Scarful. With the artists Joe, Nico, Pane and Stand he funds the WHY STYLE group and partecipate to several exhibitions and events since 2003. He created artworks for bands such as Zu, Antiyou, Truceklan, Dimension X, Ius Primae Noctis, Ardecore and many others. He is art director for many italian communication agency. He collaborated for VNGRD, Carhartt, Nike Streetwear, SlamTrick.

Alessandro Maida aka Scarful è nato nel 1968 ed è un artista e designer di Roma. Dopo gli studi artistici e quelli universitari in Architettura e Design, si interessa a tutto ciò che è grafica/illustrazione e lettering e inizia a lavorare come grafico creando con alcuni writers/artisti della scena grafica romana il collettivo Hateful Graphic Vandals (1995). Produce così i primi lavori di grafica col nome di Scarful. Insieme agli artisti Joe, Nico, Pane e Stand fa parte del gruppo WHY STYLE col quale partecipa a mostre ed eventi dal 2003.Ha realizzato artwork per band come Zu, Antiyou, Truceklan, Dimension X, Ius Primae Noctis, Ardecore e molte altre e continua la sua attività di art director con alcune agenzie di comunicazione in Italia. Ha lavorato per VNGRD, Carhartt, Nike Streetwear, SlamTrick.
